Today didn't start off to go. I went to bed with an upset stomach and today I woke up with a worse one. It was so painful I didn't think I was going to make it to class today but I knew I had to go because it was my first day of teaching and I had some of the materials that we needed to teach. Isabel, she works here..comes in the morning and does housework, called my host mom and she said my host mom wanted me to stay home but I said I had to go and I'd just get through the day as best as I could. So I get to the school where we're supposed to teach and found out that K-2 was being combined into one class and there's still only 4 kids.
I found that I def am not teacher material. It's very stressful in a way because they're little kids to begin with and your trying to teach them english and they just don't have the attention span for it. The 2 hrs went by faster than I thought they would and now that we know where they are it should hopefully be easier from here on out.
When we were done I found that my host mom had called Julio, he's another guy in charge here, who got in contact with Jorge and they wanted me to go to the hospital. I guess they wanted to make sure that everything really was ok but I felt it was a lil much. When I got to school I found out I wasn't the only one feeling off that day. A couple of the other kids were feeling sick so I know it wasn't just me, but my professor,Jorge, had gotten sick while we were in the mountains and said at most it should just be a 24hr thing...we'll see. But I made it through the rest of classes and am just taking it easy for the rest of the night and catching up on work...hasta luego
